9K a year 7 hours ago 7 hours ago 7 hours ago A Brief Overview The Community Relations Specialist is responsible for planning, developing implementing and analyzing community relations campaigns, marketing efforts and related events to promote the Cooperative's mission and goals while creating brand awareness across the Cooperative's various communities.
This position also assists with meeting corporate level goals and objectives, provides support service expertise to other organizations within the Cooperative.
What you will do Plan, coordinate and administer the Cooperative Scholarship and Youth Tour program, Bright Ideas Grants program, Safety Billboard contest, and other community related grant or sponsorship programs including promotions, the selection process and all publicity in providing program information to ensure maximum participation from students and educators Plan and coordinate cooperative events such as LREMC Golf Tournament, receptions, meetings, etc.
to include securing facilities and organizing details such as d cor, entertainment, invitee list, special guest, equipment, etc.
Assist in the planning and execution of the Annual Meeting of the Members.
Coordinate, participation in, or sponsorship of, community events that benefit members and build positive public relations for the Cooperative and its subsidiaries.
Coordinate public relations activities within the Cooperative service area.
Provide community focused content used by the cooperative and its subsidiaries to communicate with members, the public and employees.
Work with the Communications Specialist to manage this content for all electronic and traditional communications channels.
Coordinate the Cooperative's participation in, or sponsorship of area trade shows, community events and school activities that promote LREMC and its subsidiaries.
Monitor progress and costs incurred in carrying out departmental work plans and budgets.
Prepares reports to assure compliance with program goals and budget levels and departmental inventory Work with marketing staff to coordinate online and offline marketing programs.
Assists with the development and dissemination of materials to support the products and programs of the cooperative and its subsidiaries.
Qualifications Associate's Degree Marketing, Communications, Customer Service, Advertising or related field Required or Bachelor's Degree Marketing, Communications, Customer Service, Advertising or related field Preferred or An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job 3-5 years Experience in the area of public relations, marketing, or customer service with a focus on oral and written communications Required Public Speaking and Public relations experience Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software Demonstrated fundamentals of event management Knowledge of communications strategies and best practices Valid Driver's License Required The below disclaimers must be read in their entirety and acknowledged, by signature, as part of the application process.
